Studying the entire Bible

Several us started a Bible Study geared toward adults.  This study takes place in a local coffee shop.  At least, it will until we outgrow that facility, in which case we may have to move to our home.   Hopefully this won’t happen for awhile, because there is ample seating.

Last week we decided to study the entire Bible from beginning to end.   As often as we have done this, we learn things every time we study.  We recognize that, throughout history there are really smart people who have devoted their entire lives to Bible study.  Still, we all learn from the authors of the books of the Bible and their divine inspiration.

The group decided to use the Bible Workbook curriculum.  I was gratified at the decision to start “in the beginning.”    This means we will be covering the material from Bible Workbook Old Testament Volume One (of Two) first.  Then we will move on to Bible Workbook Old Testament Volume Two (of Two), and finally Bible Workbook New Testament.

The group knows that there are three books, totally 650 pages, and containing 150 lessons.  This study will take three years to complete.  The group is okay with that.  So, God willing, here we go…
